The Bema Seat is a Judgment for Christians Only
The Bema Seat (see 2 Cor. 5:10), takes its name using symbolism from Paul's day. During the old Olympics, the judge sat along the finish line. His motivation was not to determine whether the members ran the race. If they got that far, at that point they finished the course. However, the Judge at the Bema seat determined how they came in, first, second, etc, and he gave out the rewards. That is the symbolism that the Bible gives us of the Believer's Judgment. It is at the Judgment Seat of Life that Christ dispenses the rewards, not the disciplines that we procure throughout everyday life.
The disciplines He has just managed by shedding his blood on the Cross for every one of the individuals who were willing to trust in Him. Your rewards are determined according to your works. That is the main spot wherein your works have any bearing on your forever. Works won't spare you. Just confidence in Christ's finished Work for your sake will. Be that as it may, your works do have a bearing as to your rewards.
"In any case, let each man notice how he buildeth immediately." "For other establishments can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ." "Presently if any man expand upon this establishment gold, silver, valuable stones, wood, feed, stubble;" "Each man's work will be made show: for the day will announce it, since it will be uncovered by fire; and the fire will attempt each man's work of what sort it is." "If any man's work withstand which he hath manufactured immediately, he will receive a reward." "If any man's work will be singed, he will endure misfortune: yet he will be spared; yet so as by fire. (1 Corinthians 3:10b-15)
Your gold, silver and valuable stones are works done with the correct rationale and by reliance upon the power of the Holy Spirit.
Rewards for Christians: The city of Corinth was acclaimed for the Isthmian Games, a celebration of athletic challenges and occasions like the Olympic games. Toward the finish of each challenge or occasion, the competitors would show up before an enormous, lavishly improved platform called the bema. On this platform, the ruler sat on the judgment seat and gave out rewards to the triumphant competitors for their long periods of committed and disciplined training and their persistence and perseverance in the warmth of rivalry and fight.
(In 2 Corinthians), Paul gives the Corinthians a comparative picture of the bema in connection to the future judgment of Christians when he states,
2 Corinthians 5:10 "For we should all show up before the judgment seat (beats or bema), of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, regardless of whether it be positive or negative."
Paul is saying that all Christians will remain before the bema seat of Christ. At the bema seat, Jesus Christ will bring to light every deed, positive or negative that every adherent has done on earth since the person turned into a Christian. Each Christian will be compensated dependent on his words, deeds, and dependability (see 1 Cor. 3:11-14).
Jesus outlines judgment and respects in the illustration He gives (in Matt. 25:14-30). A man who is going to go on an adventure depends on his assets to three of his workers, each according to his capacity. These three hirelings speak to Christians; the ace speaks to Christ; and the assets speak to the time, ability, and fortunes that Christ gives each Christian. In the illustration, two of the hirelings are steadfast with what the ace gives them, however one is unfaithful. When the ace returns and calls his workers before him, the two devoted hirelings are compensated with more and are given standard or charge over numerous things. However, the unfaithful worker loses what he had been given and is thrown into "external dimness" Outer Darkness (Matt. 25:30).
In this anecdote, the individuals who are unwavering with the time, ability, and fortunes that Christ gives them will be remunerated with crowns (1 Cor. 9:24-27), and the chance to help Christ in governing the Millennial Kingdom (Rev. 20:4). In any case, those Christians who are unfaithful (Matt. 25:28-30), will have their rewards taken from them and given to the loyal individuals, and they will be thrown into "external haziness," where there will be "weeping and gnashing of teeth."
(In Revelation 22:12), Jesus Christ says, "I come rapidly and my reward is with me, to give each man according as his work will be" Rewards (see refrains 12-13). Is it accurate to say that you are prepared to remain before the bema seat of Christ? Out of your adoration for Christ and gratefulness for the endowment of salvation, serve God steadfastly now, and you will be compensated later. The expectation of winning crowns from Jesus Christ and reigning with Him ought to convince a Christian that running an unwavering race merits the effort. Being granted any of these crowns or chances to manage will be respect past anything we can imagine. How about we pull out all the stops!
